There's splendid hiking along the Jug Trail; folks from Fort Collins-Loveland love to come here. If you need a place to stay La Quinta Inn and Suites Loveland is a fine choice, and you can stay the night at Fireside Rv Park & Cabins. This place, Welch Reservoir, it truly has so much outdoors       entertaining stuff. Good hiking is available along the Round Mountain Trail, and you can run the rapids of Saint Vrain Creek - North. Welch Reservoir is next to Handy Dam which is a gorgeous spot without doubt worth visiting, and Welch Reservoir is a glorious spot to visit for more than one day, Fireside Camper Park is a glorious spot to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Quality Inn Loveland is a great spot to get some rest, and a trip to Rocky Mountain                  National Park is recommended. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to close by Handy Reservoir, and Cattail Creek Golf Course is a golf course close by. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Welch Reservoir with overnight lows in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's, and overnight lows during the wintertime for Welch Reservoir tend to be in the 10's.
