This lake is so wonderful. The Missouri Gulch Trail offers hiking at its best, and you can stay the night at Castle Rock/Colo Springs N KOA. Perry Park is a tremendous place to stretch your legs a bit. There's so much to do here at Waucondah Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Rock Springs Campground is a fine site for that. There are other sites here than Waucondah Reservoir, for example Cantrill Reservoir, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Winding Stairs Trail. Waucondah Reservoir gets very little precipitation; most of the rain falls through May while January is frequently the driest month. Waucondah Reservoir in fact is in the middle of a beautiful outdoors paradise.
