    If you are in this part of Colorado make sure to pay a visit to Watson Lake. A pleasant journey to Wells Basin is a delightful way to spend an afternoon, and if you came for an overnight stay Cimarron Campground is a good location to camp. Dry warm beds await you at St.Elmo Hotel; you're possibly addicted to lakes, High Park Lake is one of those nearby.
Around Watson Lake you don’t get a lot of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is regularly September,
 
   that's the one that rains the most; the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Cimarron River; camping is available at Big Cimarron Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Get your heart pumping on the splendid whitewater of Cimarron River, and most likely you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Cowpuncher Lake is just a very short distance away.

               the summertime months, highs usually are in the 80's at Watson Lake with nighttime lows in the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 30's with temperatures at Watson Lake dipping down into the 10's all through winter nights. After a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Ouray is a fine place to spend a night or two, and nearby you discover the Lou Creek Trail which is a great hiking trail. Burdeck Creek is near Watson Lake and is always a bliss to take a look at, and going for a hike on the Alpine Trail is always a magnificent adventure.
Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining things near Watson Lake. A tremendous location to explore near Watson Lake is Watson Draw, and there is a good hiking trail close by called the Deer Creek Trail.
