Dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Ouray, and camping is available at Cimarron Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? Sure, High Park Lake is around here, and paddling on Cimarron River is so much fun. Throughout the warmest time of the year, highs regularly are in the 80's at Watson Lake. A splendid place to camp here at Watson Lake is Big Cimarron Campground, and on a magnificent day you can take a hike along the Deer Creek Trail. It is very arid here at Watson Lake
generally; September is the month that gets the most rain while February is commonly the driest month. Burdeck Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth a visit, and Cimarron River has a fine whitewater paddling spot nearby.
