    Do stop by Watson Lake while you're in this part of Colorado. Watson Lake is generally a relatively dehydrated location; the month of September is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. Get your heart beating on the perfect whitewater of Cimarron River, and camping is available at Cimarron Campground.
Throughout the summer highs here at Watson Lake reach the 80's, and the overnight is fairly colder of course,
 
   mostly in the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 30's with temperatures at Watson Lake dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Wells Basin is a great spot to stretch your legs a bit; camping at Big Cimarron Campground is always a wonderful experience. You can run the rapids of Cimarron River close to Watson Lake, and on a splendid day you can take a hike along the Deer Creek Trail.

               a great time. Comfort Inn Ouray is a perfect spot to get some rest, and there is a pleasant hiking trail nearby called the Lou Creek Trail. Since you're here at Watson Lake why not visit Watson Draw, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Burdeck Creek. After a long day outdoors St.Elmo Hotel is a brilliant spot to spend a night or two; nearby you hit upon the Alpine Trail which is a fine hiking trail.
