Waterdog Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. This lake is so wonderful. At Waterdog Lake you always meet someone from Edwards; Vail has nice slopes and a friendly staff. You'll beyond doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun things in the Park Range. If the weather is glorious here at Waterdog Lake, you can go for a hike along the Fall Creek Trail. There's so much to do here at Waterdog Lake that you need to camp

Golf Course. On a glorious day at Waterdog Lake you can take a hike along the Nottingham Ridge Trail, and a good place for whitewater paddling is Eagle River. That right there is a heap of fun things already but it goes on, the Park
Range has it all. Cross Creek is a great whitewater spot in the neighborhood of Waterdog Lake, and after a long day outdoors Hyatt Mountain Lodge is a good location to spend a night or two. For the duration of the days of summer
at Waterdog Lake highs are mostly in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. High temperatures all through the wintertime are normally in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Waterdog Lake.
The Park Range scenery is always beautiful. At Waterdog Lake you don’t see much rainfall; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain while February is regularly the driest month. Really magnificent skiing awaits

LEDE Reservoir
 | 19 miles away Beautiful drive up to Lede Reservoir. We started in Eagle and took Sylvan Lake road all the way past the lake and then took a right at the first intersection. After climbing up and around the peak in front of us we were upon some huge rolling meadows that were among the forrests. A slight drop down into the valley on the west side of the mountains and a left turn lead us to the reservoir. It is a great spot with some fishing paths around the water and a number of campsites as well. We continued west to Gypsum Creek Road and a short drive back to the town of Gypsum.... |
