LEDE Reservoir
 | 15 miles away Beautiful drive up to Lede Reservoir. We started in Eagle and took Sylvan Lake road all the way past the lake and then took a right at the first intersection. After climbing up and around the peak in front of us we were upon some huge rolling meadows that were among the forrests. A slight drop down into the valley on the west side of the mountains and a left turn lead us to the reservoir. It is a great spot with some fishing paths around the water and a number of campsites as well. We continued west to Gypsum Creek Road and a short drive back to the town of Gypsum.... |

It is a little more difficult now that there is no potable water, but one can use lake water for dishes, and must bring in drinking and cooking water.Fishing is great - the deer put on a show eve4ry night. The camp hostess, Mary, is there is to help you with problems, and to give great advice.Other than the water problem, this is the greatest camp ground I've ever occupied!... |
