Do stop by Warren Lake while you're in this part of Colorado. Go for a hike on the Jug Trail, and Sherwood Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could pop by. If you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Cache La Poudre River, and this is a popular location for folks from Fort Collins-Loveland. Dry warm beds await you at Hampton Inn Ft.Collins.
Camping is available at Pawnee - Arapaho National Forest, and in the neighborhood

Good hiking is available along the Wintersteen Trail, and since you're here, you could also visit beautiful Nelson Reservoir. Don't leave Warren Lake without first going for a hike along the Round Mountain Trail, and if you need a location to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites FT. COLLINS is a great choice.

River has a splendid whitewater paddling spot close by, and Sherwood Dam is a beautiful place, beyond doubt worth checking out. Summertime highs at Warren Lake mostly tend to be in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to
the 50's. Through the winter the highs are frequently in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Warren Lake are in the 10's. If only every place had this much outdoors exciting things, what a great earth it would be. If you came
for an overnight stay Arapaho Bay - Arapaho National Forest is a perfect site to camp, and a quick spree to Mail Creek is definitely a great idea.
Around Warren Lake you don’t get a lot of precipitation; during the month of May you get the most rain around here while February is frequently the driest month.
