Lots of people from Denver-Aurora come to Ward Reservoir Number 2; do take a hike on the Beaver Brook Trail. This lake is so wonderful. A brilliant place for whitewater paddling close to Ward Reservoir Number 2 is Bear Creek. Lakes are nice; Ward Reservoir Number 1 is a lake that's right       next door to Ward Reservoir Number 2. Summertime highs at Ward Reservoir Number 2 frequently tend to be in the 80's with overnight lows in the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are generally in the 40's with temperatures at Ward Reservoir Number 2 dipping down into the 10's throughout winter nights. Best Western Denver Southwest is a fine place to get some rest; why not camp at Flying Saucer RV Park since you're here at Ward Reservoir Number 2. This lake is so                  wonderful. A visit to Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument is worthwhile. Very splendid water scenery is available at Crosley and Westfield Dam in the vicinity of Ward Reservoir Number 2; needless to say, this is a perfect vicinity for people who like lakes, Ward Reservoir is a lake close at hand.
