Walsenburg Reservoir is a beautiful lake in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. All year is a splendid time in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains if you fancy the outdoors. There's good hiking along the Apishapa Trail, and a tremendous nearby hotel is Knights Inn Walsenburg.       Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing things in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Best Western Rambler is a great place to get some rest. Lakes are great; Walsenburg Water System Reservoir is a lake that's next to Walsenburg Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. For you golfers we recommend nearby Walsenburg Golf Club. If only every spot had this much outdoors cool stuff, what a great earth it would be. The snow is good at Eldora, and if you came for an overnight                  stay Lathrop is a good site to camp. This lake is so wonderful. There are great sites to discover along the Wahatoya Trail; Sand Arroyo is next to Walsenburg Reservoir and is always a delight to go to. Not much rainfall falls here at Walsenburg Reservoir; the wettest month of the year is generally August, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month is January. Through the days of summer here at Walsenburg Reservoir, high temperatures mostly get into the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 50's. Through the winter the highs are mostly in the 40's, and night lows at Walsenburg Reservoir all through the winter commonly descend into the 0's.
