Hiking is a popular thing to do around Walker Reservoir; Saddle Rock Trail is a brilliant local trail, and you can run the rapids of Saint Vrain Creek - North. Longmont/Twin Peaks Super 8 Motel is a delightful place to get some rest; the Mesa Trail offers hiking at its best. Walker Reservoir gets very little precipitation; throughout May this area sees the most rain, and January meanwhile is the driest       month. This lake is so wonderful. You're sure to encounter some cheerful folks from Boulder here; Walker Reservoir is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Longmont Koa Kampground is a nice local campground. Camping at B and B Mobile and RV Park is always a wonderful experience; there's always Walker Dam to explore close to Walker Reservoir. You believe that's enough? Just getting warmed up. A great place for whitewater paddling near Walker Reservoir                  is Big Thompson River, and great hiking is available along the Round Mountain Trail. Near Walker Reservoir you come across a golf course called Ute Creek Golf Course; Walker Reservoir is not the only site nearby, Pleasant Valley Reservoir is a nearby lake. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Niwot Inn is a great spot to spend a night or two, obviously you could also have a look at Calkins Reservoir while you're here; it's not far at all. High temperatures at Walker Reservoir all through the days of summer are in the 80's, and the night is slightly colder of course, ordinarily in the 50's.
