Walker Dam is not far at all from Walker Reservoir, and if you're dropping by from Boulder, you won't be the only one. Lakes are good; Ish Reservoir is a lake that's in the neighborhood of Walker Reservoir, and Niwot Inn is a glorious place to get some rest. It is very dried out here at Walker Reservoir mostly; the wettest month of the year is generally May, that's the one that rains the most, and January is when       it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Walker Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Round Mountain Trail, and Walker Reservoir is good enough to spend more than a day at, B and B Mobile and RV Park is a good local campground. Man, is there lots of enjoyable stuff to do near Walker Reservoir. This is a wonderful region for folks who like lakes. Divide Reservoir is a lake close by; get yourself into a kayak and hit Big Thompson                  River. There's so much to do here at Walker Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Longmont Koa Kampground is a good site for that, and a great close by hotel is Longmont/Twin Peaks Super 8 Motel. Glide down the rapids of Saint Vrain Creek - North in a kayak; hiking is a popular thing to do around Walker Reservoir; Mesa Trail is a great local trail. This lake is so wonderful. Why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Ute Creek Golf Course, and there's good hiking along the Saddle Rock Trail. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Walker Reservoir. Summer nighttime lows sink down to the 50's.
