All through the months of summer at Wakeman Reservoir highs are usually in the 80's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 40's; night lows at Wakeman Reservoir during the wintertime generally plunge into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location       to stay DENVER HIGHLANDS RANCH HGI is a tremendous choice, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Wakeman Reservoir; Long Hollow Trail is a perfect local trail. You're almost certainly hooked on lakes, Aurora Rampart Reservoir is one of those close by; if you came to camp Chatfield is a perfect place to do that. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Wakeman Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Rock Springs Campground                  is a perfect site for that, and after a long day outdoors Oakwood at Legacy at Highlands Ranch is a good spot to spend a night or two. The South Manitou Park Trail offers hiking at its best. Lakes are splendid; Aurora-Rampart Reservoir is a lake that's in the vicinity of Wakeman Reservoir. There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Wakeman Reservoir. There are plenty of people from Denver-Aurora here at Wakeman Reservoir, and there's whitewater on South Platte River - North Fork for all you adrenaline junkies. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend South Platte River, and while you're here at Wakeman Reservoir it's a brilliant idea to take a look at Roxborough Park.
