     Why not stop at nearby Rimrock Creek if you're here at Wagon Tongue Reservoir; if you come at the right time of year, South Platte River offers some tremendous whitewater. If you want a delightful time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Front Range. If you get bored of Wagon Tongue Reservoir, you could also stop by nearby Lake George Reservoir; why not camp at Wagon Tongue Campground since you're here at Wagon Tongue Reservoir. These mountains rock,  
   just explore all the amusing things to do in the Front Range. Wagon Tongue Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could have a look at, and on a good day you can take a hike along the Longwater Trail.
This location is unbeatable, just look at all the exciting stuff to do near Wagon Tongue Reservoir. If you came for an overnight stay Reservoir Campground is a tremendous location to camp, and there is a tremendous hiking trail close by called the Hankins Trail.
 
               For the period of the summer months, highs ordinarily are in the 70's at Wagon Tongue Reservoir; the nighttime is a bit cooler of course, typically in the 30's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Wagon Tongue Reservoir. Near Wagon Tongue Reservoir you stumble on the Phantom Creek Trail which is a great hiking trail, and a delightful place to have a look at is Corduroy Gulch.
This lake is located in the wonderful Front Range. This lake is so wonderful. Do pop by Wagon Tongue Dam if you're here at Wagon Tongue Reservoir, and Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument is a great national park. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Country Lodge is a tremendous site to spend a night or two.
Wagon Tongue Reservoir gets very little rain; during August this area sees the most rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation.

I was disappointed when I realized that canoes are not allowed. But it is very beautiful and a nice place for a simple hike....
Bring your fishing net!!!! I caught a two pound smallmouth off powerbait and reeled it in on 6lb test all the way to the bank and the line snapped as I pulled it up and out of the water because I had no net....
went in July 2007, no bites. Beautiful lake though....
