     Wagon Tongue Reservoir is always a pleasure to visit. Around Wagon Tongue Reservoir you don’t get a lot of rain; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain while January is generally the driest month. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by close by Wagon Tongue Reservoir; wonderful water scenery is available at Wagon Tongue Dam in the neighborhood of Wagon Tongue Reservoir. At Wagon Tongue Reservoir during the summertime  
   months highs are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 30's. During the wintertime the highs are commonly in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Wagon Tongue Reservoir are in the-10's.
This lake is so wonderful. A spree to Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument is recommended, and do visit Rimrock Creek while you're here at Wagon Tongue Reservoir. This lake is one of the great places here in the Front Range. You'll wish for more hours in
 
               a day to enjoy all the exciting things at Wagon Tongue Reservoir. Nearby Corduroy Gulch is a delightful place to go if you're at Wagon Tongue Reservoir, and you can stay the night at Reservoir Campground.
Not far from Wagon Tongue Reservoir, you'll come across Lake George Reservoir which is a pretty lake; Wagon Tongue Campground is a magnificent campground nearby. All the outdoors exciting things in the Front Range will keep you coming back repeatedly. In case you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on South Platte River, and the Hankins Trail offers hiking at its best. This lake is so wonderful. Wagon Tongue Reservoir is right by the Phantom Creek Trail.
Yeah, come up here to the Front Range for a glorious time. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Wagon Tongue Reservoir; Longwater Trail is a great local trail, and dry warm beds await you at Country Lodge.

I was disappointed when I realized that canoes are not allowed. But it is very beautiful and a nice place for a simple hike....
Bring your fishing net!!!! I caught a two pound smallmouth off powerbait and reeled it in on 6lb test all the way to the bank and the line snapped as I pulled it up and out of the water because I had no net....
went in July 2007, no bites. Beautiful lake though....
