Paddling on Yampa River is so much fun, and glorious water scenery is available at Coal Ridge Dam close to Villard Flats Reservoir. Villard Flats Reservoir is ordinarily a quite dried up place; October is when you get the most rain here, and February is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is good on White River, and Bobcat Reservoir is       a nearby lake that you could stop by. Dinosaur National Monument is a glorious place in the vicinity of Villard Flats Reservoir, and Deerlodge Park Campground is a delightful campground here.
