Now, you may assume that's loads but there's even more enjoyable things to do here in the Park Range. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Elk River, and if the weather is perfect, you can go for a hike along the Newcomb Creek Trail. At Victoria Lake you don’t see much rainfall; the month of December is the wettest with most of the snow; August is the month       with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Scandinavian Lodge and Condominiums is a wonderful place to spend a night or two, and Round Mountain is uncomplicated to spot from Victoria Lake. The Rainbow Lake Trail is a great hiking trail close to Victoria Lake, and why not head up to Howelsen Hill and strap some skis to your feet. If only every place had this much outdoors exciting stuff, what a great earth it would be. Winterwood                  Townhomes is a brilliant spot to get some rest, and nearby you stumble on the Percy Lake Trail which is a splendid hiking trail. If you're here at Victoria Lake and you like golf, you can take a look at Haymaker Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. Summit Lake Campground is a magnificent local campground, and if you're here, you might as well stop at Buffalo Pass. At Victoria Lake during the months of summer highs are in the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Victoria Lake. Victoria Lake is a fine location to visit for more than one day, Grizzly Creek Campground is a fine location to camp nearby; Lake Albert is a nearby lake that you could have a look at. And if that's not enough there's lots more cool stuff to do in the Park Range.
