Victor Reservoir is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Beaver Lake Campground is a brilliant local campground, and if you come at the right time of year, Cimarron River offers some great whitewater. There are brilliant places to look at along the Deer Creek Trail; there are other sites here than Victor Reservoir, for example Chaffe Gulch Dentention Number 6 Reservoir. Now, you may feel that's plenty but there's even more entertaining stuff to do
here at Victor Reservoir. If you need a place to stay Comfort Inn Ouray is a great choice, and don't leave Victor Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Lou Creek Trail. Dry warm beds await you at Ouray Chalet Inn, and Taylor Draw is another tremendous place to have a look at nearby.
Lakes? Sure, Coons Reservoir is around here, and there's nice hiking along the Courthouse Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Float down the rapids of Cimarron River

in a kayak, and some of the water close by flows, like Martin Creek. Victor Reservoir is pretty dried up generally; the wettest month of the year is mostly September, that's the one that rains the most, and February is when it's the driest.
Summertime highs at Victor Reservoir ordinarily tend to be in the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 50's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 30's, and overnight lows at Victor Reservoir during the wintertime ordinarily descend into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Victor Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Big Cimarron Campground is a fine place for that.

This description has a few accurate things in it, but the way it's put together, it makes no sense, even to someone who lives here. It jumbles things from Telluride to Silverton in with Blue Lakes Trail. It is indeed beautiful. And you could hike up Sneffels (local 14'er) from this side, if you are fit and up for a very, very long adventure. ...
