     For the period of the summer months at Vestal Lake temperatures are generally in the 70's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 40's. Through the wintertime highs are generally in the 30's; overnight lows in the 0's for Vestal Lake. So many enjoyable things to do here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains, too nice to be true. Stay the night at Silver Summit RV Park And Jeep Rentals, and Purgatory Lodge by Durango Mountain Resorts is a tremendous spot to  
   get some rest. It is very dried up here at Vestal Lake commonly; August is the month that gets the most rain, and June on the other hand is the driest.
Near Vestal Lake you hit upon the Deer Park Trail which is a pleasant hiking trail, and Silverton has nice slopes and a friendly staff. Whitewater paddling is fine on Animas River. All year is a great time in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains if you fancy the outdoors. Vestal Lake sits in the shade of the Grenadier
 
               Range; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by close by Balsam Lake.
Vestal Lake is one of the lakes here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Vestal Lake has to offer, you can camp at Red Mountain Motel and RV Park; get drenched paddling on Mineral Creek - South. Don't stop me now, cause I'm havin' a nice time here at Vestal Lake. Going for a hike on the Brooklyn Trail is always a nice adventure, and naturally, this is a great neighborhood for folks who like lakes, Arrow Lake is a lake nearby.
The Whitehead Trail is a fine hiking trail close to Vestal Lake; a nice close by hotel is Purgatory Village Condominium Hotel. This lake is so wonderful. Kendall Mountain is a very popular ski area in close proximity; the peak of Arrow Peak can be distinguished from Vestal Lake.
