The beauty of Verde Lake is reason enough to stop by. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Verde Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Silverton Lakes Campground is a fine spot for that; there is a magnificent hiking trail close by called the Deer Park Trail. Yeah, come up here to the San Juan Mountains for a glorious time. In case you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Animas River,

| | and swing by Mountaineer Creek it's a perfect place to stop by. This lake is so wonderful. Do stop at Highland Mary Dam if you're here at Verde Lake, and if you need a location to stay Best Western Twin Peaks Motel is a tremendous choice.
This lake is located in the wonderful San Juan Mountains. You're most likely into lakes, Highland Mary Lakes is one of those nearby, and nearby you discover the Brooklyn Trail which is a glorious hiking trail. Be careful | |

glorious skiing is what you obtain at Silverton.
Through the days of summer highs here at Verde Lake reach the 70's. Through the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's; winter nights
come with lows in the 0's to Verde Lake. So much fun stuff to do at Verde Lake, so little time. The Whitehead Trail is a splendid hiking trail near Verde Lake; a good spot for whitewater paddling is Mineral Creek - South. Comfort
Inn Ouray is a perfect place to get some rest; one of the principal features of the surroundings of Verde Lake is Sugarloaf.
Verde Lake is a location that is rather dehydrated usually; August is when you get the most rain here,
and June meanwhile is the driest month. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Kendall Mountain while you're here.
