Loveland is a very popular ski area close by, and at Vasquez Lake you always meet someone from Silverthorne. The warmest time of the year at Vasquez Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's with nighttime lows in the 30's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 20's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Vasquez Lake temperatures plunge to the-10's. Whitewater paddling is wonderful on Clear Creek - West       Fork; if you need a location to stay Winter Park Mountain Lodge is a perfect choice. Whohoo, so much entertaining stuff in one place! The Park Range rocks! Hideaway Village is a great site to get some rest, and lakes are such peaceful places, why not go to Jefferson Lake. Mount Nystrom is a peak you can see from Vasquez Lake, and there are other spots here than Vasquez Lake, for example McQueary Lake. Now, you may assume that's plenty but there's even                  more exciting things to do here in the Park Range. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Saint Louis Trail; camping at Byers Creek Campground is always a perfect experience. This lake is so wonderful. Near Vasquez Lake you discover Jones Pass which is a great place to stop at, and do take a hike on the Byers Peak Trail. This spot is unbeatable, just check out all the entertaining things to do in the vicinity of Vasquez Lake. Vasquez Lake is pretty dry ordinarily; the wettest month of the year is regularly July, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month is January. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Saint Louis Campground, and why not head up to Arapahoe Basin and strap some skis to your feet. Vasquez Lake is located in the Park Range. So many exciting things to do at Vasquez Lake, so little time.
