Ute Lake gets very little rain; July is the month that gets the most rain while January is mostly the driest month. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors fun stuff the Front Range has to offer. All our national parks are great places to explore, and Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument is no exception; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend South Platte River.       This lake is so wonderful. Burgess Reservoir Number 1 is a nearby lake that you could go to, and get your heart beating on the good whitewater of South Platte River. This lake is so wonderful. If you're here at Ute Lake and you like golf, you can stop at Shining Mountain Golf Club; going for a hike along the Rule Ridge Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. Camping at Campground At woodland Park is always a great experience, and if you                  need a site to stay The Cliff House Hotel at Pikes Peak is a fine choice. Dry warm beds await you at Country Lodge, and if you came to camp Alpine Lakes Resort is a splendid site to do that. If only every site had this much outdoors enjoyable things, what a great planet it would be. Rule Creek Dam is a striking place close to Ute Lake, and on a great day you can take a hike along the Phantom Creek Trail. Through the summertime here at Ute Lake, high temperatures ordinarily reach the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 40's. Through the wintertime the highs are typically in the 40's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Ute Lake temperatures fall to the 0's. This lake is one of the great places here in the Front Range. Having a great time in the Front Range is painless.
