Steamboat is a nice spot to do that. Throughout the long summer days here at Ute Lake, high temperatures generally reach the 70's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Ute Lake drop into the 10's. If you want a wonderful time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Ute Lake.       There are great locations to discover along the Ute Pass Trail, and one of the governing characteristics of the surroundings of Ute Lake is Bear Mountain. Ute Lake is commonly a reasonably dehydrated place; during the month of April you get the most rain around here while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. If you have a thing about the outdoors you'll have a thing about it here in the Park Range. After a long day outdoors CrossTimbers                  at Steamboat is a fine location to spend a night or two, and don't leave Ute Lake without first going for a hike along the Twin Lake Trail. Ute Lake is not the only location nearby, Twin Lake is a nearby lake, and Elk Park is a beautiful location any time of year. This lake is one of the great places here in the Park Range. Stay the night at Helena Campground, and magnificent hiking is available along the Blue Lake Trail. This lake is so wonderful. You could also have a look at Blue Lake while you're here at Ute Lake; it's close by, and there's whitewater on North Platte River for all you adrenaline rush seekers. You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting stuff in the Park Range.
