During the winter highs are in the 30's, and nighttime lows all through the wintertime for Ute Lake tend to be in the 0's. Lost Trail Campground is a glorious local campground; Purgatory Village Condominium Hotel is a delightful place to get some rest. Flint Lakes is a nearby lake that you could take a look at; there       is a wonderful hiking trail nearby called the Deer Park Trail. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. Pine River Campground is a nice campground nearby, and everyone nearby loves skiing at Silverton. Be careful coming to the San Juan and Jemez Mountains, you might not ever wanna go home again. Drift down the rapids of Vallecito Creek in a kayak, and the slopes of Kendall Mountain are so inviting nobody can resist. That right there is                  a load of amusing stuff already but it goes on, the San Juan and Jemez Mountains has it all. Going for a hike on the Fern Creek Stock Driveway is always a glorious adventure, and the Whitehead Trail is a good hiking trail close by. Be careful coming to Ute Lake, you might not ever wanna go home again. A lake nearby is Twin Lakes, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Rio Grande. This lake is located in the wonderful San Juan and Jemez Mountains.
