Stay the night at Half Moon Campground, and do take a hike on the Fall Creek Trail. Whitewater paddling is wonderful on Eagle River; a fine nearby hotel is Hyatt Mountain Lodge. You'll meet a lot of folks from Edwards here, and the Half Moon Trail offers hiking at its best. Upper Turquoise Lake is mostly a pretty arid spot; throughout the month of July you get the most rain around here while February is the month with the least       amount of precipitation. Just can't get enough of the Sawatch Range. Vail has great slopes and a friendly staff; a lake close by is Boot Lake. Paddling on Eagle River is so much fun. And if that's not enough there's loads more entertaining things to do in the Sawatch Range. There's so much to do here at Upper Turquoise Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Gold Park Campground is a perfect spot for that; here at Upper Turquoise Lake you can see Grouse                  Mountain. If you have a thing about the outdoors, you'll go for Upper Turquoise Lake. Really great skiing awaits you at Beaver Creek; Lower Turquoise Lake is a nearby lake that you could have a look at. During the warm months at Upper Turquoise Lake highs are ordinarily in the 80's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. For the duration of the winter highs are generally in the 30's; after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Upper Turquoise Lake drop into the 0's. This lake is one of the great places here in the Sawatch Range. This lake is so wonderful.
