Beautiful Upper Slate Lake has much to offer visitors. There's whitewater on Gore Creek for all you adrenaline kick people, as expected you could also pop by Lost Lake since you're here; it's not far at all. Just can't get enough of the Park Range. A splendid close by hotel is Vail Racquet Club Condominiums, and Prairie Point Campground is a good local campground. Upper Slate Lake is not the only place close by, Slate Lake is a close by lake.

| | is so wonderful. Why not camp at Davis Springs Campground if you're here at Upper Slate Lake, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Slate Creek Trail. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Vail, and the Lost Lake Trail offers hiking at its best. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this spot. The snow is brilliant at Copper Mountain, and after a long day outdoors Silverthorne Days Inn is a good spot to spend a night or two.

And if that's not enough there's plenty more entertaining things to do in the Park Range. Enjoy a round of golf at Vail Golf Club not far from Upper Slate Lake, and do take a hike on the Gore Range Trail. Upper Slate Lake is located
in the Park Range. This lake is so wonderful. You'll meet a lot of folks from Silverthorne here, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Blue River.
Summertime highs at Upper Slate Lake
ordinarily tend to be in the 70's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's while the cold winter nights at Upper Slate Lake are in the 0's. It is very dried up here at Upper Slate Lake regularly; during July this area sees the most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest.
