In Colorado there are many beautiful lakes, Upper Slate Lake is one of them. What a site this is for outdoors people. A great nearby hotel is Vail Racquet Club Condominiums, and going for a hike on the Gore Range Trail is always a good adventure. Through the months of summer highs here at Upper Slate Lake reach the 70's; the night is a tad colder of course, frequently in the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's; night lows in the 0's for Upper Slate

Around Upper Slate Lake you don’t get a lot of rainfall; July is the wettest month with most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. That right there is a lot of enjoyable stuff already but it goes on, the Park Range has it all. What would winter be without some skiing at Vail; there is a fine hiking trail close by called the Slate Creek Trail.

so wonderful. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Copper Mountain if you're here; Blue River is a good whitewater spot nearby. Silverthorne Days Inn is a good site to get some rest; you can stay the night at Davis
Springs Campground. Lakes? Sure, Slate Lake is in close proximity, and the Lost Lake Trail is a magnificent hiking trail nearby.
This lake is so wonderful. Golf can be played at Vail Golf Club, and Upper Slate Lake is not far
at all from Silverthorne. You'll beyond doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool things in the Park Range. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Upper Slate Lake has to offer, you can camp at Prairie Point Campground; if you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Gore Creek.
