There is a good hiking trail in the neighborhood of Upper Sandbar Lake called the North Fork Trail, and close by Grassy Pass is a good spot to go. This lake is so wonderful. A nice sight of wonderful North Rawah Peak is available from Upper Sandbar Lake, and camping is available at Hooligan Roost Campground. If you want a good time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Medicine Bow Mountains. The McIntyre       Lake Trail is a wonderful hiking trail in close proximity to Upper Sandbar Lake; if you need a place to stay Americas Best Value Inn Bighorn Lodge is a good choice. If the weather is perfect here at Upper Sandbar Lake, you can go for a hike along the Rawah Trail, and a lake nearby is Lower Sandbar Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Camp Lake is a nearby lake that you could check out, and Rawah Bog is a swamp near Upper Sandbar Lake. It is very dried up here                  at Upper Sandbar Lake ordinarily; the month with most of the rain is May, and January on the other hand is the driest. Whitewater paddling is good on Joe Wright Creek; camping at Browns Park Campground is always a splendid experience. This lake is one of the great places here in the Medicine Bow Mountains. Summertime highs at Upper Sandbar Lake mostly tend to be in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 30's. Highs throughout the wintertime are mostly in the 20's, and overnight lows in the 0's for Upper Sandbar Lake. Yep, outdoors amusing stuff truly is abundant here in the Medicine Bow Mountains.
