At Upper Homestake Lake you don’t see much rainfall; the month with most of the rain is July; the driest month of the year is February. This lake is so wonderful. You'll meet a lot of folks from Edwards here. There's so much to do here at Upper Homestake Lake that you need to camp       here for a while, Mary Queen Campground is a fine place for that. This lake is so wonderful. Mormon Lake is a nearby lake that you could explore, and the slopes of Beaver Creek are so inviting nobody can resist. Do check out Bench Lakes near Upper Homestake Lake, it's a gorgeous lake, and everyone nearby loves skiing at Ski Cooper. Upper Homestake Lake is one of the lakes here in the Sawatch Range.
