Upper Hancock Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. If you need a place to stay Best Western Vista Inn is a delightful choice, and you can go for a hike on the Coyote Park Trail. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Monarch is in close proximity to Upper Hancock Lake. There's no way somebody can get bored here in the Sawatch Range. Black Canyon Of The Gunnison National Park is one of the destinations in close proximity to Upper

Campground. Upper Hancock Lake is located in the Sawatch Range.
This lake is so wonderful. The top of Brittle Silver Mountain is easily seen from Upper Hancock Lake, and there is a perfect hiking trail nearby called the Fooses
Creek Trail. This place, Upper Hancock Lake, it clearly has so much outdoors entertaining stuff. Upper Hancock Lake is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Garfield Campground is a magnificent local campground; since you're
here at Upper Hancock Lake it's a nice idea to take a look at Brittle Silver Basin. High temperatures at Upper Hancock Lake during the summer months are in the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 30's. The cold days of
the winter come with highs in the 20's, and night lows throughout the winter for Upper Hancock Lake tend to be in the-20's.
A lake nearby is Billings Lake; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we
recommend Arkansas River. Not much rain falls here at Upper Hancock Lake; during August this area sees the most rain; the driest month is June.
