Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Near Upper Dome Reservoir you locate the Skyline Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail, and after a long day outdoors GUNNISON LODGING COMPANY is a brilliant place to spend a night or two. At Upper Dome Reservoir you don’t see much precipitation; most of the rain falls through August; April on the other hand is the driest. For the duration of the       summertime months, highs ordinarily are in the 70's at Upper Dome Reservoir. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's while Upper Dome Reservoir overnight low temperatures through the winter are in the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. Don't forget to take a wonderful little visit to Archuleta Creek, and going for a hike on the Devils Hole Trail is always a great adventure.                  But wait, there's more enjoyable things to do in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. This is a great vicinity for folks who like lakes. Lower Dome Reservoir is a lake close by, and you can stay the night at Stone Cellar Campground. And that's not all you can do here at Upper Dome Reservoir. Poison Gulch is a tremendous location to take a look at nearby, and Upper Dome Reservoir is a nice site to visit for more than one day, Luders Creek Campground is a nice site to camp nearby. Upper Dome Dam is an interesting thing to check out; a spree to Black Canyon Of The Gunnison National Park is worthwhile. This lake is so wonderful. Upper Dome Reservoir is one of the lakes here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains.
