If you are in this part of Colorado make sure to pay a visit to Upper Diamond Lake. Not much precipitation falls here at Upper Diamond Lake; August is the wettest month with most rain while February is commonly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. The Columbine Lake Trail offers hiking at its best; not far from Upper Diamond Lake you get some perfect water scenery at Jasper Dam. Summertime at Upper Diamond Lake comes with high temperatures in the 70's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 40's. Lake is one of the lakes here in the Front Range. Now, you may feel that's a heap but there's even more exciting stuff to do here at Upper Diamond Lake. Camping is available at Buckingham Campground, and Betty Lake is a magnificent
lake close by.
There's fine hiking along the Devils Thumb Trail, and a great spot for whitewater paddling is Boulder Creek. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this location. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing
at Winter Park while you're here. All year is a great time in the Front Range if you fancy the outdoors. On a wonderful day you get a vista of Mount Jasper from Upper Diamond Lake, and a perfect place is Arapaho Pass.
