It is very dried up here at Upper Church Lake frequently; May is when you get the most rain here while January is typically the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Near Upper Church Lake you hit upon a golf course called Heritage Golf Course at Westmoor; there's wonderful hiking along the Bear Peak Trail. High temperatures       at Upper Church Lake during the long summer days are in the 80's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Upper Church Lake. Here at Upper Church Lake you'll almost certainly meet some folks from Boulder, and possibly you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Ketner Reservoir is just a very short distance away. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available                  along the Saddle Rock Trail, and there's whitewater on Boulder Creek - South for all you adrenaline people. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. You're probably keen on lakes, Lower Church Lake is one of those close by, and a magnificent place to camp here at Upper Church Lake is The Prospect RV Park. A pleasant nearby hotel is Omni Interlocken Resort; you can go for a hike on the Mesa Trail.
