Upper Camp Lake is located in the Medicine Bow Mountains. If you want a good time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Upper Camp Lake. Paddling on Joe Wright Creek is so much fun; do take a hike on the Camp Lake Trail. Lakes? Sure, Big Rainbow Lake is around here, and why not take a refreshing hike along the North Fork Trail.
Throughout the days of summer at Upper Camp Lake temperatures are generally in the 70's. Once the sun is down it dips down to

| | the 30's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Upper Camp Lake. Dry warm beds await you at Americas Best Value Inn Bighorn Lodge, and the top of Sheep Mountain is easily observed from Upper Camp Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Skyline Campground is a wonderful local campground, and get dripping wet paddling on Cache La Poudre River.

Camp Lake is Grassy Pass; hiking is a popular thing to do around Upper Camp Lake; Rawah Trail is a great local trail. Now, you may believe that's lots but there's even more fun things to do here in the Medicine Bow Mountains. Don't
forget to take a delightful little tour to Camp Creek; why not camp at Tunnel Campground while you're here at Upper Camp Lake.
Upper Camp Lake is a location that is quite dried up regularly; of all the months in a year May is
the one with the most rain, and January on the other hand is the driest. Whohoo, so much fun stuff in one place! The Medicine Bow Mountains is peerless! Camp Lake is a perfect lake close to Upper Camp Lake; swamps are attention-grabbing sites and Rawah Bog near Upper Camp Lake is no exception.

A very nice place to go camping, hiking and fishing. The reservoir has an astonishing breathtaking view, nothing like I have ever seen before, yes that beautiful! We went the weekend of July 10th, 2009 the weather during the day is very nice and sunny avg. temp about 75 degrees, the nights however are very cold, dipping into the low 40's and 30's, so be prepared for that, we came with too little of blankets and learned that to be a big mistake. Long draw is located about 15 mi. inland from Hwy 14 just past Chambers, driving into the reservoir looks deceitful because it seems as though you are traveling into the thick of the forest with nothing but trees around, but be patient 15 mi. in you will discover the camp ground, enjoy!... |

Marlene. I spent several years in Laramie in the 70's and also never was aquainted with Worster Reservoir... However my interest in families was sparked when I heard the name Appleton Collins Worster who is in my family tree.
...It's named after my grandfather Appleton Collins Worster, he came here from Maine when he was young. My father and uncles grew up in the house that is on Sand Creek road, not far from reservoir....I have never heard of Worster Reservoir, please let me know where it is located.... |
