Guanella Pass - Arapaho National Forest is a nice campground nearby. This lake is so wonderful. On a great day at Upper Cabin Creek Reservoir you can take a hike along the Abyss Trail; if you need a spot to stay Super 8 Motel - Georgetown is a fine choice.

Why not take a look at Upper Cabin Creek Hydroelectric Dam while you're here, and Duck Lake is a nearby lake that you could explore. Upper Cabin Creek Reservoir gets a normal amount of yearly precipitation; of all the months in a
year April is the one with the most snow while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Skiing at Arapahoe Basin is one of those things you just must do, and a brilliant close by hotel is Georgetown Mountain Inn.
Really fine skiing awaits you at Loveland, and Leavenworth Mountain is easy to spot from Upper Cabin Creek Reservoir.
