At Twin Lakes Reservoir you don’t see much rainfall; August is when you get the most rain here, and June is when it's the driest. That right there is plenty already, but it continues; Twin Lakes Reservoir has it all. If you come at the right time of year, Escalante Creek offers some great whitewater. Lakes are splendid; Round Park Reservoir is a lake that's near Twin Lakes Reservoir.       Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend San Miguel River, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to nearby Twin Lake. For the duration of the summertime months, highs commonly are in the 90's at Twin Lakes Reservoir. Throughout the moonlight hours it's typically in the 60's. All through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's while Twin Lakes Reservoir night low temperatures through the                  winter are in the 10's. Twin Lakes Dam is gorgeous and it's in the vicinity of Twin Lakes Reservoir; if you're here you can take a hike along the Moore Mesa Trail. If the weather is gorgeous, you acquire a perfect sight of 25 Mesa from Twin Lakes Reservoir, and you can have a good hiking adventure along the Monitor Mesa Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at T Bone Spring Campground, and after a long day outdoors Best Western Sundance is a delightful site to spend a night or two. Be careful coming to the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains, you might not ever want to go home again. Camping at Smokehouse Campground is always a brilliant experience, and Cottonwood Basin is a perfect place to check out. Twin Lakes Reservoir is one of the lakes here in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. This lake is so wonderful.
