A lake close by is Apache Reservoir, and good skiing awaits you at Ski Rio. During the summer highs here at Twin Lakes get into the 80's, and the overnight is rather chillier of course, generally in the 40's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 0's for Twin Lakes. At Twin Lakes you don’t see much rain;       August is when you get the most rain here, and January meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Glide down the rapids of Rio Grande in a kayak, and camping is available at Sheep Crossing Campground.
