Do set aside some time for Wild Basin since you're here at Twin Lakes, and after a long day outdoors Marys Lake Lodge is a good spot to spend a night or two. The slopes of Winter Park are so inviting noone can resist; possibly you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Sandbeach Lake is just a very short distance away. This lake is so wonderful. You're possibly       hooked on lakes, Chickadee Pond is one of those close by, and everybody close by loves skiing at Berthoud Pass. Be careful coming to Twin Lakes, you might not ever want to return home again. If the weather is perfect here at Twin Lakes, you can go for a hike along the Lion Lake Trail, and get your heart pumping on the pleasant whitewater of Boulder Creek. A great close by hotel is Aspen Lodge; the panoramas at Rocky Mountain National Park will blow your mind.                  Very pleasant water scenery is available at Sand Beach Dam near Twin Lakes, and Mount Orton is clearly visible from Twin Lakes. Twin Lakes is a beautiful lake in the Front Range. The warmest time of the year at Twin Lakes arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 30's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's with temperatures at Twin Lakes dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Twin Lakes is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Longs Peak Campground is a pleasant local campground, and going for a hike along the Thunder Lake Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. There's just no way somebody can get bored here at Twin Lakes. Camping at Mount Meeker Campground is always a delightful experience; since you're here at Twin Lakes, checking out Dragons Egg Rock is a must. Just can't get enough of the Front Range. While you're here at Twin Lakes you can take a hike along the Finch Lake-Pear Reservoir Trail, and unsurprisingly Cony Creek is a delightful stream that is worth taking a look at. Not much precipitation falls here at Twin Lakes; most of the rain falls through August; the driest month of the year is November. This lake is so wonderful. And if that's not enough there's plenty more enjoyable stuff to do in the Front Range.
