Through the summer here at Twin Lakes, high temperatures ordinarily get into the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 40's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are ordinarily in the 30's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Twin Lakes. If only every location had this much outdoors enjoyable stuff, what a great planet it would be. The Ute Trail is a great hiking trail close to Twin Lakes, and       there is a fine hiking trail close by called the Music Pass Trail. Why not camp at San Luis Lakes since you're here at Twin Lakes, and on a wonderful day you can take a hike along the Huerfano Trail. Some close by water includes Big Spring Creek, and if you need a location to stay Inn of the Rio Grande Hotel and Conference Ctr is a glorious choice. If you came for an overnight stay Great Sand Dunes Oasis is a fine location to camp, and Great Sand Dunes National                  Monument is one of the destinations that are brilliant to pop by nearby. Twin Lakes is regularly a rather dry location; July is the wettest month with most rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful.
