A visit to Twin Lake Number 1 is always a good idea. This lake is so wonderful. Twin Lake Number 1 is usually a pretty waterless location; most of the rain falls throughout March, and June is the month with the least moisture. Have a splendid hiking adventure along the Green Mountain Trail, and Sackett Dam is an out of the ordinary thing to check out. If you came to camp Weir and Johnson Campground is a nice site to do that, and not far from Twin Lake Number

| | 1 you'll find Twin Lake Number 2 which is a stunning lake. Throughout the warm months highs here at Twin Lake Number 1 reach the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 0's for Twin Lake Number 1. This lake is so wonderful. to Twin Lake Number 1. Take a hike on the East Leon Trail; get yourself into a kayak and hit Gunnison River. Here at Twin Lake Number 1 you can catch a glimpse of Leon Peak, and you can never get enough of the fine skiing at Powderhorn.
