Twin Lake is located in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. Float down the rapids of San Miguel River in a kayak. Lakes are delightful; Twin Lakes Reservoir is a lake that's near Twin Lake. This site, the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains, has so much outdoors amusing things. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Twin Lake has to offer, you can camp at T Bone Spring Campground,       and there's wonderful hiking along the Monitor Mesa Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Twin Lake without first going for a hike along the Cottonwood Trail. Summertime brings highs in the 90's to Twin Lake, and the nighttime is rather chillier of course, regularly in the 60's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Twin Lake. So many exciting things to do at Twin Lake, so little time. Since                  you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by close by Beaver Reservoir; a spree to Cottonwood Basin revives the spirit. Twin Lake gets very little precipitation; the wettest month of the year is typically August, that's the one that rains the most, and June meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Get soaked paddling on Escalante Creek, and you can stay the night at Smokehouse Campground. The Moore Mesa Trail offers hiking at its best, and after a long day outdoors Best Western Sundance is a wonderful spot to spend a night or two. If you like the outdoors you'll like it here in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains.
