Get your heart beating on the good whitewater of Cache La Poudre River; Dowdy Lake - Arapaho National Forest is a magnificent local campground. This lake is so wonderful. A fine close by hotel is Fawn Valley Inn. Man, is there a heap of exciting stuff to do in the Medicine Bow Mountains. Go for a hike on the Swamp Creek Cutoff Trail, and probably you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Dowdy Lake is just       a very short distance away. This lake is so wonderful. There's perfect hiking along the Kreutzer Nature Trail; as expected, this is a fine area for folks who like lakes, West Lake is a lake nearby. Not much precipitation falls here at Twin Lake; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain, and December on the other hand is the driest. A delightful spot for whitewater paddling right next door to Twin Lake is Cache La Poudre River; Lost                  Lake Campground is a delightful campground nearby. This lake is located in the wonderful Medicine Bow Mountains. So many fun things to do here in the Medicine Bow Mountains, too magnificent to be true. Wildcat Canyon is in the vicinity of Twin Lake and is undeniably a tremendous spot to visit, and if you're interested in hydro structures, you can explore Twin Lakes Dam. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Twin Lake while overnight lows are ordinarily in the 40's. All through the winter highs are in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Twin Lake temperatures descend to the 0's.
