If you are traveling by, why not stop by Twelvemile Lake. There's so much to do here at Twelvemile Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Four Mile Campground is a fine place for that, and whitewater paddling is glorious on Arkansas River. Around Twelvemile Lake you don’t get a lot of precipitation; July is the month that gets the most rain, and October is the month with the least moisture. So much exciting stuff to do at Twelvemile Lake, so little time.

This lake is so wonderful. The Tumble Creek Trail offers hiking at its best. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Twelvemile Lake; Rich Creek - Buffalo Meadows Trail is a tremendous local trail, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Crested Butte if you're here. tremendous skiing is what you get at Ski Cooper, and Twelvemile Lake is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Weston Pass Campground is a brilliant local campground.
For the duration of the warm days of summer highs here
at Twelvemile Lake get into the 60's. Summer nighttime lows descend down to the 30's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 20's; after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Twelvemile Lake plunge
into the 0's. A splendid place like Sheep Park here at Twelvemile Lake is too perfect to miss, and after a long day outdoors Silver King Inn is a magnificent place to spend a night or two. Lamb Mountain is clearly visible from Twelvemile Lake; good hiking is available along the Limber Grove Trail.
