Just can't get enough of the Sawatch Range. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Copper Mountain. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - Leadville is a tremendous place to spend a night or two, and Turquoise Lake is a good spot to visit for more than one day, Colorado Outward Bound is a good spot to camp nearby. Summertime highs at Turquoise Lake typically tend to       be in the 70's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's while Turquoise Lake night low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 0's. And if that's not enough, there's a heap more to do in close proximity to Turquoise Lake. The skiing at Ski Cooper is wonderful, and paddling on Lake Creek is so much fun. Hiking along the Highline Trail is glorious fun; Arkansas River has a magnificent                  whitewater paddling spot nearby. If only every spot had this much outdoors cool stuff, what a great globe it would be. Take a hike on the Main Range Trail, and not far from Turquoise Lake you acquire some fine water scenery at Sugarloaf Dam. A lake nearby is Home Lake, and dry warm beds await you at Silver King Inn. This lake is located in the wonderful Sawatch Range. Around Turquoise Lake you don’t get a lot of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is August, and the driest month of the year is February. So many enjoyable things in the Sawatch Range, just striking. Buffalo Park is a perfect location, and going for a hike along the Mount Massive Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. This lake is so wonderful. If you're here at Turquoise Lake and you like golf, you can have a look at MT Massive Golf Course, and a short trip to Soda Springs is always worthwhile. Sugar Loafin' RV/campground is a great campground nearby; a fine location to have a look at close by is Bartlett Gulch. And that's not everything there is to do here in the Sawatch Range.
