Turquoise Lake is not the only site nearby, Evergreen Lakes is a nearby lake; Sugarloaf Dam is lovely. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Main Range Trail, and a magnificent close by hotel is Silver King Inn. This location, the Sawatch Range, has so much outdoors fun things. Buffalo Park is a tremendous spot; there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at close by Ski Cooper. This       lake is so wonderful. A round of golf at nearby MT Massive Golf Course is a magnificent way to kill some time, and a brilliant spot to visit close by is Bartlett Gulch. There's no way someone can get bored here in the Sawatch Range. Copper Mountain has delightful slopes and a friendly staff. It is very dry here at Turquoise Lake typically; through the month of August you get the most rain around here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.                  Turquoise Lake is one of the lakes here in the Sawatch Range. All through the warm months highs here at Turquoise Lake reach the 70's while nighttime lows are commonly in the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's with temperatures at Turquoise Lake dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun things near Turquoise Lake. Put some time aside to spend at Soda Springs if you're here at Turquoise Lake, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Arkansas River. What a site this is for outdoors folks. East Fork Arkansas River is one of the streams nearby that might be worth a visit, and hiking along the Mount Massive Trail is perfect fun. Turquoise Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Sugar Loafin' RV/campground is a great local campground, and Turquoise Lake is right by the Highline Trail. This lake is so wonderful. You could also explore Law Ponds since you're here at Turquoise Lake; it's nearby, and if you need a place to stay Super 8 Motel - Leadville is a good choice.
