This lake is so wonderful. You'll meet a lot of people from Canon City here, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Turner Reservoir; Stultz Trail is a magnificent local trail. If you like the outdoors you'll like it here in the Front Range. A lake nearby is Park Center L and W Number 10 Reservoir, and do pay a visit to Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument while you're here at Turner Reservoir. If       you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Shadow Hills Golf Club is nearby; a nice nearby hotel is Budget Host Royal Gorge Inn Canon City. You think that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. If you came to camp Rv Station Campground is a wonderful spot to do that; whitewater paddling is fine on Arkansas River. If you get bored of Turner Reservoir, you could also take a look at close by Park Center L and W Number 2 Reservoir, and there's some flowing                  water close by, Wilson Creek is a stream you can explore while here. Turner Reservoir is commonly a pretty dried up site; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is January. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Turner Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Maverick Trailer Park is a fine spot for that, and there's pleasant hiking along the Tanner Trail. Get dripping wet paddling on Grape Creek. Summertime highs at Turner Reservoir usually tend to be in the 70's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 40's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Turner Reservoir are in the-10's. You'll truly wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining stuff in the Front Range.
