     Colorado has many beautiful lakes and Turkey Springs Reservoir is one of them. The San Juan and Jemez Mountains scenery is always beautiful. All through the summer, highs frequently are in the 70's at Turkey Springs Reservoir. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 30's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Turkey Springs Reservoir.

   Turkey Springs Reservoir. After a long day outdoors Keyah Grande Resort is a nice location to spend a night or two; you acquire a magnificent panorama of Brockover Mesa from here. A glorious location to camp here at Turkey Springs Reservoir is Turkey Springs Campground, and why not head up to Wolf Creek and strap some skis to your feet. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, San Juan River offers some pleasant whitewater; Pagosa Springs  
               Golf Club is a great golf course close by.
And if that's not enough there's heaps more exciting things to do in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Dry warm beds await you at Fairfield Pagosa Resort; why not camp at Happy Camper RV Park if you're here at Turkey Springs Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. There are other places here than Turkey Springs Reservoir, for example Park Reservoir, and if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Piedra Stock Trail. On a great day at Turkey Springs Reservoir you can take a hike along the Fourmile Stock Trail, and Butcher Spring is an inspiring place to check out while you're here.
It is very waterless here at Turkey Springs Reservoir frequently; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is June. Just can't get enough of the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Gopher Reservoir is a good lake close to Turkey Springs Reservoir; the Middle Mountain Trail is a glorious hiking trail nearby.

I am a guide on the San Juan here and wanted to correct the info about this run. The put in is behind a place called malt shoppe and the Lat/Long of it is: 37. 269902°, -107. 001559°

The take out after Mesa Canyon is where Trujillo Rd gets close to the river on R Left @ 37. 125988°, -107. 051072°

These are the closest Public put in & take out to the Lat/Long given on the site. Happy Raftin!...
