Turkey Springs Reservoir is a location that is quite dry usually; July is the wettest month with most rain; June meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Keyah Grande Resort is a pleasant choice; Gopher Reservoir is a magnificent lake close by. Camping is available at Turkey Springs Campground; Fairfield Pagosa Resort is a great site to get some rest.

There are other sites here than Turkey Springs Reservoir, for example Park Reservoir, and on a glorious day you can take a hike along the Piedra Stock Trail. This lake is one of the great places here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. There is a brilliant hiking trail in close proximity to Turkey Springs Reservoir called the Fourmile Stock Trail, and the top of Brockover Mesa is easily distinguished from Turkey | |

Yep, outdoors enjoyable stuff to do are beyond doubt plentiful here at Turkey Springs Reservoir. Pagosa Springs Golf Club is a great golf course close by; going for a hike on the Middle Mountain Trail is always
a great adventure. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Happy Camper RV Park is a splendid spot to camp, and tremendous skiing awaits you at Wolf Creek.
Be careful coming to the San Juan and Jemez Mountains,
you might not ever want to go back home again. San Juan River is a nice whitewater spot next to Turkey Springs Reservoir, and the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Butcher Spring. All through the summertime months at Turkey
Springs Reservoir highs are frequently in the 70's. Summer overnight lows plunge down to the 30's. During the winter the highs are mostly in the 20's, and nighttime lows in the-10's for Turkey Springs Reservoir.

The take out after Mesa Canyon is where Trujillo Rd gets close to the river on R Left @ 37. 125988°, -107. 051072°
