     You could also pop by Upper Fourmile Lake since you're here at Turkey Creek Lake; it's nearby, and you can stay the night at Middle Fork Hunter Campground. Turkey Creek Lake is a beautiful lake in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. At Turkey Creek Lake all through the summer highs are in the 70's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 30's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 20's, and night lows throughout the winter for Turkey  
   Creek Lake tend to be in the-10's.
All the outdoors fun stuff in close proximity to Turkey Creek Lake will keep you coming back again and again. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend San Juan River - East Fork, and one of the overriding highlights of the surroundings of Turkey Creek Lake is Cherry Cairn. This lake is so wonderful. A wonderful spot near Turkey Creek Lake is Puerto Blanco; Holiday Inn Express PAGOSA SPRINGS is a nice location to get some rest. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. There are some pleasant whitewater spots on Wolf Creek; in all probability you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Fourmile Lake is just a very short distance away. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at OakRidge Lodge; you can go for a hike on the Turkey Lake Trail.
But wait, there's more amusing stuff to do in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Good hiking is available along the Fourmile Stock Trail; skiing at Wolf Creek is one of those things you just ought to do.

The take out after Mesa Canyon is where Trujillo Rd gets close to the river on R Left @ 37. 125988°, -107. 051072°

These are the closest Public put in & take out to the Lat/Long given on the site. Happy Raftin!...
