Turkey Creek Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. After a long day outdoors Oak Ridge Lodge is a delightful location to spend a night or two; don't leave Turkey Creek Lake without first going for a hike along the Fourmile Stock Trail. At Turkey Creek Lake you don’t see much rain; July is the wettest month with most rain, and June meanwhile is the driest month. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Turkey Creek Lake, and through

all the exciting stuff in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. The summit of Cherry Cairn can be seen from Turkey Creek Lake; you could always look at Puerto Blanco. All year is a splendid time in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains
if you adore the outdoors. A splendid nearby hotel is Holiday Inn Express Pagosa Springs, Co, and tremendous hiking is available along the Rainbow Trail. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Wolf Creek, and
San Juan River - East Fork has a splendid whitewater paddling spot nearby. Turkey Creek Lake is one of the lakes here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. If you don't mind getting dripping wet, you
can always go whitewater paddling on Wolf Creek, and if you've had enough of Turkey Creek Lake, Upper Fourmile Lake is close by.

Using the river or the land without authorization is tresspassing and is illegal. I am by no means giving you permission to use it. I am simply stating the facts.
