Tunnel Lake is a nice lake to visit. This lake is one of the great places here in the Sawatch Range. Be careful coming to Tunnel Lake, you might not ever wanna go home again. Head up to Monarch and strap some skis to your feet, and a magnificent vista of gorgeous Mount Helmers is available. Not much rain falls here at Tunnel Lake; the wettest month of the year is generally August, that's the one that rains the most while June is commonly the driest month.

| | There's so much to do here at Tunnel Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Middle Quartz Campground is a splendid site for that, and there are brilliant spots to discover along the Coyote Park Trail. Tunnel Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Mirror Lake Campground is a good local campground; going for a hike on the Pitkin Stock Driveway is always a magnificent adventure. next to Tunnel Lake, and in case you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Clear Creek.
This lake is so wonderful. You're almost certainly into lakes, Graphite Lake is one of
those nearby, and if you're looking for a perfect spree, Black Canyon Of The Gunnison National Park is reasonably near. There's no way someone can get bored here in the Sawatch Range. The Palisades is an out of the ordinary thing
to catch a glimpse of while you're here at Tunnel Lake, and Fitzpatrick Gulch is a great place to spend some time.
All through the summertime highs here at Tunnel Lake get into the 70's. For the duration of the moonlight hours
it's regularly in the 30's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 20's while Tunnel Lake overnight low temperatures during the wintertime are in the-20's. So much entertaining stuff to do in the Sawatch Range, not sufficient
time. After a long day outdoors Best Western Vista Inn is a fine site to spend a night or two, and you can go for a hike on the Gold Creek Union Park Trail.
