You can take a little tour to Trout Lake Dam if you're here at Trout Lake, and you're in all probability into lakes, Priest Lakes is one of those nearby. Hit the slopes at Silverton close by, and as expected, this is a glorious neighborhood for folks who like lakes, Lake Hope is a lake in the neighborhood. Just can't get enough of Trout Lake. If you need a place to stay Fairmont Franz Klammer Lodge is a great choice, and do set aside some time for Lizard Head Meadows

Trout Lake is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Riverwood Inn and RV Park is a tremendous local campground, and there's whitewater on Lime Creek for all you adrenaline people. At Trout Lake you don’t see much rain; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain, and June is the month with the least moisture. generally in the 40's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Trout Lake are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. A pleasant nearby hotel is Mountain Lodge at Telluride, and Groundhog
Gulch is in close proximity, and is a good spot. There are some good whitewater spots on San Miguel River, and the East Fork Trail is a glorious hiking trail close by. This lake is so wonderful. Looking for some flowing water?
Try Lizard Head Creek, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Sheep Trail. A fine place to camp here at Trout Lake is Sunshine Campground, and Telluride has good slopes and a friendly staff. But wait, there's more to
do near Trout Lake. If the weather is good here at Trout Lake, you can go for a hike along the Lizard Head Trail, and from Trout Lake you acquire a pleasant view of San Bernardo Mountain.
