What would winter be without some skiing at Silverton, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit close by Priest Lakes. This lake is so wonderful. Groundhog Gulch is in close proximity to Trout Lake and is
undeniably a magnificent site to have a look at, and get yourself into a kayak and hit San Miguel River. The warmest time of the year at Trout Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to
the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's; nighttime lows all through the wintertime for Trout Lake tend to be in the 0's. Trout Lake is generally a quite dried up location; July is when you get the most rain here, and June is when it's the driest.
