You'll need more than a day to discover everything Town Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at High Country Recreational Vehicle Park; probably you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Grassy Lake is just a very short distance away. Float down the rapids of San Miguel River in a kayak, unsurprisingly you could also pop by Nucla Domestic Reservoir while you're here; it's not       far at all. Summertime at Town Reservoir arrives with high temperatures in the 90's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 30's, and overnight lows at Town Reservoir during the wintertime usually fall into the 10's. Nearby Maverick Draw is a great spot to go if you're at Town Reservoir, also Nucla Domestic Dam is worth stopping at since you're here. There's so much to do here at Town Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Smokehouse Campground is a great site for that, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Montrose here. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Fortyseven and Meadow Trail is glorious fun. Town Reservoir gets very little rain; the month of October is the wettest with most of the rain; June is when it's the driest.
