At Town Lakes you don’t see much rain; most of the rain falls all through August while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. At La Veta Lake South Dam near Town Lakes there are some exciting things to see, and what would a location like Town Lakes be without exciting close by features like Pinon Hill. | | first going for a hike along the Black Hills Trail; there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Eldora. This lake is so wonderful. If you're a golfer then a magnificent close by course is Grandote Peaks Golf Course, and Bearadise Cabins and RV Park is a great local campground.
