During the days of summer at Tobacco Lake highs are commonly in the 60's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's; overnight lows all through the winter for Tobacco Lake tend to be in the 0's. Lakes are such calm places, why not visit Twin Lakes right next door to Tobacco Lake, and a magnificent place to camp here at Tobacco       Lake is Stunner Campground. Man, is there plenty of fun things to do near Tobacco Lake. The panorama of scenic Conejos Peak near Tobacco Lake is fine, and dry warm beds await you at Allington Inn and Suites. Conejos River is a splendid whitewater spot in the vicinity of Tobacco Lake, and there's great hiking along the Conejos Trail. You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. That                  right there is a load of entertaining stuff already but it goes on, the San Juan and Jemez Mountains has it all. You'll locate a scenic lake called Timber Lake near Tobacco Lake, and great hiking is available along the Bear Lake Trail. Tobacco Lake sees pretty high levels of rain; March is the wettest month with most snow; June is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Tobacco Lake is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Mix Lake Campground is a glorious local campground, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Tobacco Lake; Lake Fork Trail is a brilliant local trail.   Allington Inn and Suites, South Fork 21 miles away Close enough for a quick getaway, but filled with enough excitement and adventure to pack an entire vacation.
