If only every spot had this much outdoors cool stuff, what a great earth it would be. Hiking along the Main Range Trail is splendid fun. There's so much to do here at Timberline Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Gold Park Campground is a delightful site for that. If you wish for a little side journey, try Hagerman Pass, and a great nearby hotel is The Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch.       This lake is so wonderful. The friendly people of Edwards like to hang out nearby; get yourself into a kayak and hit Lake Creek. Timberline Lake gets very little rainfall; August is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is February. Have a good hiking adventure along the Mount Massive Trail, and do check out Lonesome Lake, it's a scenic lake. This lake is so wonderful. There are some fine whitewater spots on Homestake Creek, and                  Super 8 Motel - Leadville is a good site to get some rest. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Sawatch Range. Stay the night at Mary Queen Campground; you can never get enough of the pleasant skiing at Ski Cooper. Timberline Lake is one of the lakes here in the Sawatch Range. For the period of the summer months highs here at Timberline Lake get into the 70's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's with temperatures at Timberline Lake dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. All the outdoors exciting stuff in the Sawatch Range will keep you coming back time and again.
