But wait, there's more enjoyable things to do in the Sawatch Range. Lake Creek is a fine whitewater spot close to Timberline Lake, and Super 8 Motel - Leadville is a great location to get some rest. Having a perfect time in the Sawatch Range is easy. A magnificent nearby hotel is The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch, and do go to Lonesome Lake, it's a charming lake. Summertime highs at Timberline Lake       commonly tend to be in the 70's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 40's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and nighttime lows at Timberline Lake through the wintertime typically descend into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Ski Cooper; Mary Queen Campground is a perfect campground nearby. Timberline Lake is pretty waterless generally; of all the months in a year August is the                  one with the most rain; the driest of the months is February. The friendly people of Edwards like to hang out close by, and the Mount Massive Trail offers hiking at its best. Be careful coming to Timberline Lake, you might not ever wanna return home again. Stay the night at Gold Park Campground; while you're here, you could also pop by pretty Virginia Lake. Good hiking is available along the Highline Trail; close by you find Hagerman Pass which is a perfect location to visit. This lake is so wonderful. If you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Homestake Creek, and you can hit the slopes at Beaver Creek close by.
