Don't leave Timber Lake without first going for a hike along the North Fork Trail, and Kelly Lake is a magnificent lake close by. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Joe Wright Creek; at Timber Lake you can distinguish Clark Peak. At Timber Lake throughout the days of summer highs are in the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 30's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and night       lows throughout the wintertime for Timber Lake tend to be in the 0's. Yeah, come here to Timber Lake for a magnificent time. There's tremendous hiking along the West Branch Trail, and if you come at the right time of year, Cache La Poudre River offers some fine whitewater. So many entertaining things to do in the Medicine Bow Mountains, not enough time. Camping is available at Tunnel Campground, and fine hiking is available along the Blue Lake Trail. Timber                  Lake is mostly a quite dry place; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain; January is when it's the driest. This lake is one of the great places here in the Medicine Bow Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. There are other spots here than Timber Lake, for example Jewel Lake; a brilliant site to camp here at Timber Lake is Skyline Campground. There's no way anyone can get bored here in the Medicine Bow Mountains.
