Why not take a refreshing hike along the Mount Massive Trail, and after a long day outdoors The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch is a good spot to spend a night or two. Three Lakes is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Elbert Creek Campground is a delightful local campground; get yourself into a kayak and hit Lake Creek. That right there is lots already, but it keeps       on going; Three Lakes has it all. Lakes are brilliant; Notch Lake is a lake that's right next door to Three Lakes; if you come at the right time of year, Clear Creek offers some tremendous whitewater. This place, the Sawatch Range, has so much outdoors cool things. There's so much to do here at Three Lakes that you need to camp here for a while, Mary Queen Campground is a perfect spot for that, and do take a hike on the Main Range Trail. The warmest time of                  the year at Three Lakes arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's, and overnight lows during the winter for Three Lakes tend to be in the 0's. Ski Cooper is a great local ski area, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by close by Rainbow Lake. This lake is so wonderful. The Highline Trail offers hiking at its best. Three Lakes gets very little precipitation; the wettest month of the year is generally August, that's the one that rains the most; the driest month of the year is February. If you fancy the outdoors you'll fancy it here in the Sawatch Range.
